[ltr]The Office of the Inspector-General of the Ministry of Industry, on Wednesday, sent a number of directors-general to the Integrity Commission for irregularities in an investment contract .[/ltr]
[ltr]The Inspector General of the Ministry, Adnan Karim Salman, said in a statement received by "Mawazin News" that "the investigations conducted in accordance with the provisions of Order (57) for the year 2004 and under direct guidance and support from the Minister of Industry and Minerals, Mohammed Shiaa Sudanese, on a number of files and issues of the ministry and its companies, During which a number of directors-general and boards of directors were referred to the Integrity Commission to prove that they caused damage to public funds . "[/ltr]
[ltr]He added that "the Office conducted an administrative investigation into violations in the contract between the former General Company for the manufacture of fertilizers and the company investing in them, and to diagnose the failure of the company to follow the proper legal methods in obtaining the rights of the company invested, and wasting those rights in the judicial decision issued in its favor and acquired degree In addition to recording the state of inaccuracy in the calculation of debts incurred by the company invested, causing the loss of the amount of (10) billion Iraqi dinars, was not counted within the debts incurred by the company invested .[/ltr]
[ltr]He stressed the "accountability of the defaulters and the referral of the file to the Integrity Commission ."[/ltr]
