    BAGHDAD / The Ministry of Agriculture announced on Sunday its intention to re-count the livestock in Iraq by reviving the project to stop the end of 2015, while revealed that 40% of the livestock were in the areas of control of the Dahesh.

    "The Ministry of Agriculture is seeking to re-count the livestock in Iraq by reviving a moratorium project in 2015, which is the numbering of livestock," said Agriculture Ministry adviser Hussein Abdul-Saud.

    He added that "the reason for the suspension of the project is the economic crisis suffered by Iraq during the past years and the control of the preacher on some of the provinces in 2014, where these areas where 40% of the total livestock in Iraq.

    Saud pointed out that "the previous project achieved a completion rate of 90%, as the figures indicated that the total of cattle in Iraq is more than 2.5 million, sheep more than 14 million, buffalo 586346, and more than 325 thousand.

    The adviser of the Ministry of Agriculture, the hope that the Ministry will receive the funds for the neighborhoods of this project.

    In July 2012, the Ministry of Agriculture announced the launch of a numbering campaign for animals in all Iraqi provinces and all its species
