"The salaries of former and current presidents of the republic, as well as former members of the House of Representatives and the owners of special grades, cost 30 percent of the state budget without benefiting from their real partnership in the construction of Iraq," the deputy chairman of the committee of martyrs and parliamentary victims said.
"A quarter of the state budget goes as salaries to the Kurdish employees in both the legislative and executive branches," Attiya said in a statement issued by her media office.
And called on the government to "take real measures even if the parliament's dismissal on it is to stop the salaries of Kurds within the federal government who voted in favor of the referendum."
She pointed out that "the Iraqi state pays salaries billions of dinars of funds of the South who live the worst life."
Attiyah stressed that "its committee with the suspension of salaries of Kurdish employees and conversion as functional grades for the southern provinces and families of martyrs and wounded security forces and popular mobilization."
