Parliamentary Finance Committee reiterates: Employees’ salaries are fully secured

Information/Baghdad…
Member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, MP Mudhar Al-Karawi, reiterated on Monday that the salaries of employees of Iraqi institutions are fully secured during 2024.
Al-Karawi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, "The oil price changes were minor and are currently rising, which contributes to increasing the financial revenues of the state treasury, stressing that the salaries of state employees are fully secured during 2024."
He added that "his committee, in coordination with the Ministry of Finance, seeks to adopt frameworks towards raising non-oil revenues to the highest rates after 2003 through automation of all revenues at the crossings and other sectors."
He pointed out that "the Finance Committee will review the budget schedules for next year 2025 in a manner that is consistent with the country's revenues and gives priority to the file of financing governorate projects."
It is noteworthy that oil prices have witnessed a decline in recent months, which has caused a state of concern due to the pressure on the treasury. End 25 F
