    The Deputy Chairman of the Iraqi Economists Association, Bassem Jameel Antoine, on the import of Iraq annually oil products worth $ 5 billion, while stressing that oil refineries are still old and need to be updated.
    Antoine said: "The last refinery oil was established in Iraq is the refinery Baiji, which was founded in the eighties of the last century," noting that "this refinery was damaged by the equipment and subjected to the looting and operations that occurred by the gangs Da'ash terrorist."
     
    "Iraq needs modern oil refineries that produce some kind of fuel suitable for cars, and agreement with giant companies to stop the import of fuel," he said.
    He explained that "Iraq imports oil products worth $ 5 billion annually," stressing that "if the establishment of refineries list and distributed geographically to provide good fuel will take Iraq's role in development," noting that "must be available petrochemical industries along with refineries."
