BAGHDAD / The parliamentary Finance Committee confirmed on Sunday that the passage of the draft law of the general budget for 2018 needs 45 days, while it indicated that the budget will face an Iraqi and difficult to approve the majority without the participation of the Kurds.
The committee member Hussam al-Aqabi told "Iraq News" that "the passage of the draft law of the general budget for the year 2018 needs 45 days, which will not pass during the next few days," noting that "the Kurdish deputies object to the project because of reducing the share of the region from 17% to 12%, and also the deputies of the province of Basra have an objection to the budget in addition to some blocks in the coalition of forces.
Al-Aqabi pointed out that "the budget bill will face an Iraqi and difficult to approve the majority without the participation of the Kurds."
The deputies of the National Alliance have threatened, on Saturday, to boycott the sessions of the next parliament in the event that their demands are not included in the draft budget bill for 2018.
Was scheduled to witness the extraordinary parliament session held on Saturday, the first reading of the draft budget budget, but the meeting was lifted to, on Sunday, without reading the draft law. Finished 2
