Baghdad International Airport receives more than 20,000 passengers daily with the upcoming New Year holidays
Baghdad International Airport announced on Wednesday a significant increase in the rate of incoming and outgoing flights on the occasion of New Year's Day, adding that the airport receives daily more than 20 thousand passengers.
"Baghdad International Airport receives daily more than 110 flights between the coming and departing, with more than 20,000 passengers on board, especially with the New Year holidays," Air Transport Director Ali al-Sharqi said in a statement received by Al-Iktissad News.
He pointed out that "Baghdad International Airport has seen great preparations to receive the new year, while extolling its potential to provide everything that would facilitate the departure and arrival procedures."

There are more than 700 flights across the Iraqi airspace every day.
