    [ltr]European traders announced on Monday that Iraq had bought about 100,000 tons of hard wheat in a global tender late last December.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"The Iraqi Grain Board bought about 100,000 tons of hard wheat in a global tender that was closed in late December," traders said, according to Reuters news agency.[/ltr]
    [ltr]They explained that "the quantity includes about 50 thousand tons of Canada and the same from Australia."[/ltr]
    [ltr]The tender was closed on Friday (19 December 2017), with the offers valid until Wednesday (24 December 2017).[/ltr]
    [ltr]"The price of Australian wheat was $ 288.88 per ton, including non-unloading and Canadian wheat costs of $ 295 per tonne," he said.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The list of countries of origin permitted in the auction was limited to the United States, Australia and Canada[/ltr]
