Abadi close to the coalition of the crowd .. The latter is a list of "tough"

     Baghdad / Mohammed Sabah

It was not expected that the legal deadline for the registration of political alliances would be terminated and Prime Minister Haider Abadi would remain hesitant in resolving his electoral situation.
Over the past period Abadi failed to improve his position within the coalition of state law, led by the Dawa Party headed by his rival Nuri al-Maliki. As of the time of writing, the prime minister has not decided to remain on the party list or to stand on another list close to him.
This confusion, caused by the confusion of Abadi, prompted the Electoral Commission to keep the door of alliances close despite announcing that the deadline for receipt of registration applications had expired last Thursday.
It seems that pressure has succeeded in opening the door to last-minute understandings so that the prime minister will decide before Sunday to stay in the state of law or join the coalition of the crowd, which is a list of demands that will cost Abadi much of his electoral balance. The Electoral Commission announced the end of receiving applications for registration of electoral alliances by the end of the official working day on Thursday, noting that the approved parties that did not enter into electoral alliances will participate individually. In a statement received by Al-Mada, Riyad al-Badran, head of the EMB, said: "The Commission has completed receiving registration applications for electoral alliances. The extension of the applications was completed by the end of the official working hours on Thursday 11/1/2018."
Badran added that "the approved political parties that did not enter the electoral alliances will participate individually in the upcoming elections and the Commission will receive lists of names of candidates for parties from 4/1/2018 to 10/2/2018," calling on all political parties to "hand over lists of candidates to Commission for the purpose of taking the procedures provided for in the laws and regulations in force. "
"The decision reached by the leadership of the Dawa Party to resolve the dispute within it is to participate in the next elections with two electoral lists, one headed by Nuri al-Maliki and another led by Abbadi," said a senior leader of the Dawa Party, speaking on condition of anonymity. Running the party on a single list is very difficult. "
"The leader of the Dawa Party, the reasons that led his party to take part in the elections two lists to compete between Maliki and Abadi on the number (1) in the party's list," adding that "both men believe their eligibility and achievements and their popularity to lead the electoral list."
The leader of the Dawa Party, In the case of Abadi and Maliki agreed to run in the next election with a single electoral list, who will be the Prime Minister? ", Stressing that" the party does not want to enter into differences and other conflicts such as happened in the last session. "
The former deputy notes that" any list of the two lists The party will achieve The highest seats in the parliament will be the head of the next government, "noting that" Maliki is strongly seeking to have a clear footprint in the selection and nomination of the next prime minister. "
Over the past two days, the leadership of the Dawa party intensified its meetings to resolve the candidature of Haider al-Abadi, which was not decided until the writing of this report, because the prime minister did not specify his directions in the next stage.
The senior leader of the Dawa Party said that "the Dawa Party meetings have been going on for the last three days and are going on in general to discuss technical issues related to the electoral lists." He stressed that "the party leaders made telephone calls during these meetings with the Electoral Commission inquiring about some legal issues." The political source noted that "in the past hours between the leaders of the party, the possibility of declaring Abadi participating in the elections in the list of victory and liberalization registered on behalf of a member of the Baghdad Council Hossam Hassoun al-Rubaie, a leader of the Dawa Party very close to the Prime Minister."
"Abadi has not yet announced his participation in any alliance or list, but the expectations are clear that he has become close to the victory and liberation list of the Fatah al-Mubin alliance with important factions in the popular rally," said the preacher, .
"This is an alliance between two groups that were exchanging accusations, including the prime minister's talk about the presence of astronauts and not allowing the participation of the popular crowd in the elections," said the leader of the Dawa party. "How will Abadi stand for elections with the crowd?" . The leader of the state of law does not rule out "the existence of written conditions between Abadi and the popular crowd organized this electoral alliance," likely "Obadi to support these factions for his nomination for a second term in exchange for granting them high security positions such as the Interior Ministry and other important positions in the next government.
"One of the other things that the crowd is expected to ask from Abadi is to issue instructions for the crowd law, which includes the division of the military and the brigades, and the appointment of security posts in the crowd," said a senior figure on Maliki's wing. MP Rasul Abu Hasna, a member of the Dawa Party bloc, said: "The party has not decided to nominate Abadi within any electoral list and is still under discussion and negotiation." He reveals "the existence of conditions for slaves in return for entering into alliance with the factions of the crowd." Abu Hasna said in a statement to Al-Mada yesterday that Al-Fath Al-Mubin alliance did not agree with Abbadi because of his conditions to achieve this electoral alliance, which kept the negotiations pending until the moment, pointing out that Abadi insists on re-running for a second term. What is rejected by the factions of popular mobilization. "
In the opinion of a member of the Dawa Party that the registration list of the Dawa Party and the coalition of state law in the name of Nuri al-Maliki "is not allowed by the law of political parties and alliances," and stresses the existence of efforts to correct this imbalance.
Before the end of official working on Thursday, websites circulated news of a request by the Dawa Party to the Electoral Commission to withdraw the party entity from the coalition of state law.
