(Reuters) - Iraqi parliament speaker Salim al-Jubouri on Sunday set two options for voting on the election law.

"Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jubouri called on the House of Representatives to put forward two options to vote on the election law," a parliamentary source told twilight news.

"The two options are to approve the date set by the Iraqi government or to offer another option to set a new date," he said.

It is noteworthy that the Presidency of the House of Representatives held on Sunday a meeting with the heads of parliamentary blocs in the parliament building.

The Council of Ministers set 12 of May next date for the parliamentary elections instead of 15.
