China's industrial profits rose at the fastest pace since 2011 by 21 percent, according to data released by China's National Statistics Bureau on Friday.
In December, industrial companies' profits in China grew by 10.9 percent year on year, from 14.9 percent in November.
In 2017, China's industrial output rose by 6.6% against expectations of 6%.
By 0820 GMT, the yuan was down 0.1 percent against the dollar at 6.3193 yuan.

China's industrial profits rose at the fastest pace since 2011 by 21 percent, according to data released by China's National Statistics Bureau on Friday.
In December, industrial companies' profits in China grew by 10.9 percent year on year, from 14.9 percent in November.
In 2017, China's industrial output rose by 6.6% against expectations of 6%.
By 0820 GMT, the yuan was down 0.1 percent against the dollar at 6.3193 yuan.
