The Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said on Tuesday that the teams sent by the federal government to audit the salaries of employees of the Kurdistan Region continue its work.
Abadi said during the weekly press conference that "the teams sent by Baghdad to Kurdistan to check the numbers of employees continue to work," noting that "these committees will issue results soon."
Abadi stressed that "the government is keen on the existence of a federal authority at the border crossings."
It is noteworthy that the demonstrations came out recently in the cities of the Kurdistan region, in protest against the delay in the payment of salaries of employees, despite promises of Abbadi since last October.
