The Saudi Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, said that the best way to solve the crisis in Qatar is to deal with it like Washington with Cuba, pointing out that its population does not exceed the population of a street in Egypt.
"I do not occupy myself with them, less than the rank of minister who takes over the Qatari file, the population of Qatar does not equal a street in Egypt, and any minister in the Saudi government can solve the Qatari crisis," Ben Salman told a news conference at his country's embassy in Cairo.
He added: "The only way to resolve the crisis with Qatar is the way the United States dealt with Cuba in 1959, when US-Cuban relations deteriorated significantly after the Cuban revolution against Washington's policies, which cut Washington's relationship with Cuba and imposed an economic embargo on the latter starting from October 1960, and softened only some of those restrictions during the first term of President Barack Obama. "
On Iran, Bin Salman said: "It is a paper tiger," denying the persecution of the Shiite community in his country. "Saudi Shiites are contributing to its rise and take leadership positions in it," he said.
