Washington: The Iraqi budget is an internal affair that we do not interfere in

"It is an internal Iraqi affair and we will not interfere in it," State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said during commenting on Kurdish concerns about the Iraqi General Budget Law 2018.
"We have good relations with Kurds and with the Iraqi government, so we encourage them to work together to solve their problems," she told a news conference.
On the Iraqi budget, said Nawirt: "With regard to the Iraqi budget, which was approved in recent days, we see that it is generally an internal Iraqi affair will not interfere in it."
In addition, the State Department spokeswoman reiterated the support for the Kurdistan Regional Government: "We stated that we support the government of Iraq and the Kurds in particular, they are important allies for us."
The Iraqi General Budget Act of 2018 consists of 60 articles, with a total value of 104 trillions and 158 billion dinars. Six trillions and 597 billion dinars have been allocated to the Kurdistan Region, and one trillion dinars was added to this quota the day after the budget was approved.
