    Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi on Friday congratulated the Iraqi people and the sports public on lifting the international ban on Iraqi football and called for continued action to lift the total ban.
    "Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi congratulated the Iraqi people and the sports public on lifting the international ban on Iraqi stadiums," the prime minister's office said in a statement.
    Stressing that "the credit is due to security stability and to the successes achieved by Iraq in all fields and the efforts of the loyalists," calling for "the completion of all procedures until the lifting of the embargo completely."
    The head of the Iraqi Football Federation Abdul Khaliq Massoud, has revealed on Friday, the decision of FIFA to lift the ban on Iraqi football in part.
