{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The Secretariat of the Council of Ministers confirmed that the government puts the priority of housing at the top of the near-term plans.
"Secretary General of the Council of Ministers Mehdi Al-Alak met with the World Bank Group and representatives of the concerned sectoral bodies in the Ministries of Planning and Finance to discuss ways of stabilizing the liberated areas by taking concrete practical steps, particularly on the support of the side," the statement said. Housing, the resumption of educational and health services and the rehabilitation of electricity and water networks in liberated areas ".
"The most important obstacles that must be addressed to overcome the stage, among the secretary is his keenness to learn about the experiences of the countries of the region in this area, especially the Egyptian experience."
"The attendees also touched on the technical aspects that accompany the practical steps to implement these projects to create a solid and smooth work environment that encourages the investment in the country, especially as the current shift towards industry and production of multiple income sources."
The World Bank Group affirmed "their commitment to support and lay the foundation for private sector investment in Iraq and to provide all facilities related to financial support."
