Canada plans to establish long-term cooperation with Iraq.
A statement by the Office of the Iraqi Foreign Minister, received by all of Iraq [where] a copy of the "Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari met with Canada's ambassador to Iraq Bruno Sakumana on the occasion of ending his tenure, and was reviewed progress of the bilateral relations between Iraq and Canada during the past period, and mechanisms to uphold."
And eighth-Jaafari efforts of Ambassador in strengthening bilateral relations between Baghdad and Ottawa, stressing that Iraq is facing a global war against terrorists Daash, and this war represents the most influential, and most widespread in history; because it targets the whole humanity, and affect different areas of the world, pointing out that " Iraq is making great victories against terrorist Daash gangs, the day need to help the world all nations in the reconstruction of the infrastructure of the liberated areas for the return of displaced people to their home areas, explaining that "jobs and investment in the Iraqi market is open to Canadian companies to contribute to the support of the Iraqi economy."
For his part, Canada's ambassador to Iraq Bruno Sakumana stressed that Iraq is fighting terrorist Daash gangs not only in his own defense, but on behalf of the whole world, pointing out that "Canada appreciates what endures Iraq sacrifices in the face of terrorism; which made Canada one of the top five countries offering aid to Iraq in many areas. "
He added that his country is seeking to establish long-term cooperation with Iraq, noting that the exchange of visits between officials of both countries had a significant impact in increasing the volume of trade and investment in order to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples.
