An American businessman sues Qatar and accuses her of stealing his e-mail NB-232775-636577274485609584

raising the US businessman Elliot Breueda, a collector prominent contributions to the Republican and a supporter of Trump, filed a lawsuit against Qatar , accusing them of stealing and leaking e - mail messages in retaliation for his attempts to influence the administration of President Donald Trump in favor of regional rivals Qatar.

In his lawsuit at the US District Court in Los Angeles, he accused Qatar and its agents of breaking e-mail accounts belonging to him and his wife and presenting stolen documents through lobbyists in the United States to the media for publication of reports.
The lawsuit, which claims unspecified damages, says some leaked information has been manipulated.

"We believe the evidence is clear that there is a country that is conducting a well-orchestrated campaign of defamation against me for my silence," he said in a statement.

Jassim al-Thani, a spokesman for the Qatari embassy in Washington, described the lawsuit as an attempt by a Swede to divert attention from media scrutiny of his activities.

In a statement, the Qatari official said that it was Brueddi, not Qatar, who orchestrated outrageous activities aimed at influencing Congress and US foreign policy.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, along with Egypt, boycotted Qatar and imposed sanctions in June, accusing the four countries of supporting terrorism. Qatar denies this.
