US special envoy to the United States, Brett Mughkurk, announced on Thursday his country's support for the demands of Baghdad to pursue "pockets" in Syria, during a meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abbadi.
"The prime minister stressed the importance of stability in the region and the prevention of the causes of tension and the focus on ending terrorism," Al-Hayat quoted Abadi as saying after receiving the US ambassador to Iraq,
