Mechanisms for the granting of their rights to persons with disabilities who are injured by military operations

In accordance with the Care of Persons with Disabilities Act and Special Needs No. 38 of 2013 as well as the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities to which Iraq has acceded. He pointed out that the Commission is continuing to ensure the rights enshrined in the law in coordination with the concerned authorities, such as the establishment of rehabilitation centers and the implementation of promising programs aimed at developing their physical capabilities in addition to raising their cultural and social level, as well as approaching the authorities concerned with land and property to allocate suitable housing for them. Al-Bayati added that it was agreed to visit a delegation of the Commission and the community bodies to the disabled body in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in the coming days to discuss the topics related to this segment, which he stressed that it receives the attention and care of the state. He pointed out that the Commission is in the process of preparing programs to raise awareness of the rights of persons with disabilities, especially as they represent a very large segment after the increase in the number of disabled wounded military operations during the last period, especially in the war against the gangs «Da'ash» terrorist to expel them from the cities that Dnstha, In order to raise their standard of living and social.
