    The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced, on Tuesday, that double-salaries with special needs who receive protection subsidies are exempted from recovering the money they owed them, while confirming the adoption of medical reports to include those below the poverty line, regardless of the percentage of disability.
    The head of the Ministry's Social Protection Authority, Huda Sajjad, said in a statement to "Al-Sabah" newspaper, which was seen by "The Information", that "there are cases of double salary that appeared as a result of a difference between the Protection Law and the Law for People with Special Needs," noting that "this duplication appeared in the salary A full-time employee whose family is covered by the social protection salary.
    Sajjad added, "The ministry directed not to stop the social protection benefit for the one whose salary appeared to be double, as well as to approach the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers for the purpose of agreeing to exempt people with disabilities or a full-time employee from returning the money they received in the form of social protection salaries."
    In a related matter, Sajjad explained, "The Social Protection and Persons with Disabilities and Special Needs Authority agreed to adopt the reports of the medical committees of the Ministry of Health, for the purpose of including those below the poverty line, regardless of the degree of disability, as well as the formation of committees to unify the databases of the two bodies, pointing to the They are coordinating to discuss mechanisms for disbursing the amounts allocated to the two bodies in accordance with the Food Security Law for the beneficiaries.”
    She explained, "The ministry also coordinated with the Ministry of Interior, with the aim of joint cooperation, simplifying procedures related to poor and needy families, and alleviating burdens on the beneficiaries of the Social Protection Authority during the review of traffic departments in the governorates, in line with the government program and the intersection of information electronically," noting that its authority "represents the line" The first is to reduce the increasing poverty as a result of economic conditions, so it must be supported and enabled to fulfill its priority obligations, such as granting subsidies to families living below the poverty line and simplifying procedures for beneficiaries in all state departments and working to improve their reality. finished/25
