Justice Ministry Inspector-General Hassan al-Ukaili said that the elimination of the phenomenon of fraud in real estate almost completely requires going towards automating the procedures and switching to the electronic system and finishing the paperwork. He pointed out that the procedures of the office to control forgery and refer counterfeiters to the judiciary are not effective solutions And do not eliminate this phenomenon.
In a press statement, al-Ukaili said that the issue of counterfeiting real estate is linked to the high value of the property, pointing out that the provinces of Karbala and Najaf are the most vulnerable to fraud, as well as areas of the center of Basra.
Al-Ukaili said that there are large and large fraud campaigns carried out by individuals individually or in an organized manner by specialized gangs, noting that weekly the ministry controls one or more accused of forging real estate and issuing judicial rulings against them and correcting the situation in which they committed acts of forgery.
