Member of the House of Representatives, Sarwa Abdul Wahid, described the efforts to extend the life of parliament to the dangerous precedent.
"We have been criticizing the parliament of the Kurdistan region because it extends its work, so how can we accept the extension of the work of the federal parliament," Abdel Wahed said in a press statement received by the All Iraq agency.
And called on political forces to respect the peaceful transfer of power, to curb the violation of the laws of the sharia.
The speaker of parliament, Salim al-Jubouri, confirmed during the parliamentary session held yesterday, that the holding of the meeting was to extend the life of the House of Representatives, "without the State has any financial burdens and parallel to the age of the executive authority."
On June 21, 2018, the Federal Court approved the constitutionality of all articles of the Third Amendment Law of the Elections Law, which was legislated by the Council of Representatives on the 6th of the same month. The third article rejected the abolition of the votes of voters abroad and displaced persons and the population movement in four governorates.
