Ten people were taken to hospital on Sunday after being shot in the city of Manchester in the early hours of the morning without revealing the nature of the shooting, police said.
"A number of police officers, some of them armed, moved towards Claremont Street in the city, around 2:30 am," Sky News reported in a news item.
"The police described the shooting as a serious attack," she said, adding that the wounds did not pose a threat to the lives of the wounded. The city authorities did not mention the motive of the shooting nor the identity of the perpetrators. "End quote
