    The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil, Fayyad Nima, on Wednesday, the achievement of Iraq self-sufficiency of oil derivatives, except for gasoline, noting that the ministry continues to import limited quantities of gasoline to fill the shortage in the local product.
    "Iraq, through the introduction, addition and rehabilitation of refineries in all operating refineries, has succeeded in achieving self-sufficiency for various oil derivatives, as well as the formation of strategic stocks for it," Nima said in a statement published by the official newspaper "Al-Sabah" "The derivatives mentioned and equipped to citizens and various electric stations include: liquid gas, white oil and kerosene in addition to heavy fuel."
    He added that "the ministry is currently importing in limited quantities the substance of gasoline and mixed with the material (blowing) produced in the local refineries to increase the quantity," stressing that "the ministry will go beyond this issue when the work of refineries and steadfast units of improvement during the next year in addition to the entry of Karbala refinery service during the year 2020, then Iraq would be exempt from this article as well. "
