The Service and Engineering Effort Team announced the preparation of the budget for next year 2025, which will include Baghdad and four governorates, revealing at the same time the opening date of 30 areas that were announced earlier in Baghdad and the governorates.
The team leader, Engineer Abdul Razzaq Al-Maliki, said in an interview with Al-Sabah: “The team held an important meeting with the relevant parties, including representatives of companies and governorates, and heads of the teams implementing the projects, in order to find solutions to the conflicts and problems that stand in the way of completing the projects, especially those that have achieved completion rates of 75 percent or less.”
He stated that the Prime Ministry has set the first of November as the final date for completing all projects that have been initiated during the current year, noting that the team has instructed representatives of the committees implementing the projects in Baghdad and the governorates to prepare lists of regions and projects with the aim of preparing the plan for next year 2025.
In the same context, Al-Maliki revealed that the governorates that will be included in the plan, in addition to Baghdad, are Maysan, Dhi Qar, Muthanna, and Diwaniyah, noting that solid companies with similar and large businesses will be chosen in order to ensure the success of the projects and not delay them.
In the same context, he stressed that the team has prepared a plan to ensure the acceleration of project completion, which includes contacting municipal departments to resolve any conflict in land or services within project areas, in addition to reducing the time periods for each project by increasing working hours and automated effort.
The head of the service and engineering effort team continued that the team agreed in light of this with the Ministry of Industry and Minerals to provide it with 130 local mechanisms prepared by the ministry’s companies to be received in two stages to accelerate the pace of work, revealing that there are 30 areas in Baghdad and the governorates that will be opened by the end of this year, after they are fully rehabilitated and their infrastructure is completed.
In addition, he explained that the team's service plan includes covering all rural roads with paving and completing infrastructure projects in the districts and villages deprived of services in the governorates of Dhi Qar and Muthanna, especially those with high population density.
