The Russian envoy to the Middle East and African countries, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov discussed the situation in Syria with the leader of the Democratic Union Party Khaled Issa.
A statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry said Thursday that the meeting discussed "developments in Syria with a focus on territorial integrity and ensuring the participation of Kurdish representatives in the process of negotiating equally with other ethnic and religious components in Syria."
Bogdanov had received on February 26 Kurdish political figures from Syria, and confirmed Moscow's principled position on the need for the participation of Kurdish representatives in the self-determination of Syria.[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
