(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) MP from the Alliance for Reform and Reconstruction in Basra Badr Zayadi, that the weapons deployed in the province is sufficient to arm two military divisions.
"The weapons deployed in Basra in very large quantities can be used to arm two military divisions and more, and all the tribes have medium and heavy weapons," Ziadi told the satellite TV station Al-Firat. "The reasons for this are weak law."
He added that "tribal conflicts do not need armor to intervene in resolving the conflict, but need an infantry division to control the situation," noting that "the withdrawal of arms and purchase is a correct step," and wondered, "How to buy weapons from outlaws?", Stressing that " Can not buy weapons from citizens and the best solution to get rid of these problems law enforcement strongly. "
Al-Zayadi complained that "the security wheels can not move quickly [60 km]," adding that "the change of security forces by (50%) of the Outside the province is true. "
He added "today the sources of multiple identities in Basra and the thousands carrying identities to carry weapons," revealing "a decision issued by the Presidency of the House of Representatives to limit the granting of identities in the House of Representatives only."
But the MP from Basra, saying that "we have to launch pieces of trained and armed correctly," revealing "the formation of the Basra reconstruction committee headed by Hadi al-Amiri to oversee the contracts and companies."
On the governor of Basra, Asad al-Eidani stressed that "the governor did not submit a resignation from the post of Deputy House of Representatives to the moment," calling on him to "determine his position."
