    The head of the Arab Contractors Union, Malik Ali Dongola, said Wednesday that the capital Baghdad will host an urgent meeting of the Union in the second half of April to discuss the reconstruction of Arab countries affected by conflicts and wars.
    "The meeting of Arab contractors held last Thursday in the Jordanian capital Amman discussed the harmonization of the statutes of the Arab Contractors Union, in line with the unified and approved system of the Economic Unity Council," Dongola said in a statement to the Saudi daily Asharq Al-Awsat. , And discussed the role of the Union of Arab Contractors in the reconstruction and development in the Arab countries, and the development of a program and the activation of means to achieve the objectives of the Federation contained in both the statute and the corresponding system.
    He added that "the meeting discussed the presidents of the Arab Contractors' Associations for the countries affected by the events and the need for reconstruction, namely the heads of the Iraqi, Syrian and Libyan Federations to do all that is required to give the Arab contractor the largest role in this and facilitate the entry of mechanisms and equipment contractors."
    "A delegation from the European Union will visit countries suffering from the effects of wars and conflicts, starting with Yemen, to discuss ways of reconstruction in the coming period, followed by a visit to Libya and Syria," he said, noting that "it was decided to hold an urgent meeting of the Arab Contractors Union in Baghdad during The second half of next April, to consider the role of Arab contractors in the reconstruction of Arab countries affected by wars and conflicts during the past years.
