"The Shi'a-Shiite dispute on the defense and interior portfolios is the reason," Rep. Deyaar Berwari, MP from the Kurdistan Democratic Party, responded to accusations raised in the House of Representatives that the Kurdish component is the reason why the cabinet is not complete.
"The Kurdish component is accused of delaying the completion of the government of Adel Abdul Mahdi," Berwari said in a press statement. "This is an attempt to disrupt the street, which is pressing the completion of the ministerial cab."
He stressed that "the portfolio of the Ministry of Justice, one of the easiest ministries, which can be solved by Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi, and submit a candidate, but the problem is still the Ministries of Defense and Interior."
