(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) Member of the Legal Committee of Parliament, Bahar Mahmoud, announced on the occasion of the founding of the Kurdish press that it will prepare new legal proposals to include all journalists with pensions and support them in order to perform their professional duty and provide a decent life for them.
"Today, we congratulate the colleagues and colleagues of the journalists and media in the Kurdistan region, the anniversary of the founding of the press in the Kurdistan region, I assure them that we support them in the protection and provide a minimum of good life through," Mahmoud said in a press statement today. We worked in the Legal Committee in the House of Representatives. "
"It will work to submit proposals within the House of Representatives to activate and update the laws protecting journalists, including the receipt of pensions and other legislation in line with the great development in information technology and the sensitivity of the situation and events in Iraq and the region."
She stressed that "the segment of journalists is one of the most important segments of society as a fourth regulatory authority, which sometimes rises to be the first in its pressure and its impact on the fight against corruption and problems in the failure of the executive performance of the ministries and organs of the state."
She pointed out that "the moral and professional responsibility imposes on members of the House of Representatives as a supervisory authority also support journalists and the press and provide their requirements for the exercise of their work and live in peace."
