A British newspaper reported on Saturday that Britain had conveyed "calm" messages from the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and Western countries to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] following the recent escalation of tension.
"The British ambassador in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] who met with the Iranian ambassador, conveyed to the Iranians messages of American and Western appeasement, while warning against the misunderstanding of these messages of calm, " Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper reported in a report .
The newspaper added that "the British warned the Iranians of the seriousness of the situation in the event of errors."
