Integrity settles manipulation in bidding on land worth three billion dinars

The Integrity Commission, Tuesday, revealed that its staff working in the Directorate of Investigation of Basra, in coordination with the Office of the Inspector General of the Ministry of Commerce in the province, to control the manipulation of bidding procedures on land belonging to the Ministry, indicating that the value of the land up to nearly three Billion dinars.
In a statement received by al-Maaloumah, the agency said that "the team of the directorate of the Basra investigation, who moved to the General Company for the trade of construction materials in Basra, controlled the manipulation of bidding procedures on the company's Hamdan Industrial Estate, That "the area of land is (39) acres, and the total value of up to (2,945,000,000) billion dinars."
The statement added that "the preliminary investigations carried out by the team led to the disclosure of the existence of collusion by the assessment committee of the branch of the Ministry of Commerce in Basra, where the value of rent land in a very small amount contrary to the controls and instructions, pointing to the control of the treatment of bidding in the process that was Implementation under a judicial warrant ".
He added that "was organized a record of seizure of assets with seizures, and presented to the judge investigating the integrity in the province; to take appropriate legal action."
