BAGHDAD (Reuters) -
The coalition has no information to confirm news that US forces are ready to evacuate hundreds of Lockheed Martin and Saliport employees, Global from a military base in Iraq.
"We are aware of these reports from open sources, but at the moment, we do not have information to confirm such allegations."
Earlier, the Reuters news agency quoted Iraqi sources as saying on Friday that " US forces are preparing to evacuate hundreds of Lockheed Martin and Saliport Global employees from an Iraqi military base.
According to the agency, about 400 of the 800 contractors of the two companies are preparing to leave the military base "Balad", which hosts US troops, about 80 km north of Baghdad, because of "possible security threats."
Earlier, US President Donald Trump said in an interview with CBS television that he maintains a military presence in Iraq to "monitor Iran."
