The head of the Future Foundation in Washington, Antifad Qanbar, said today that Iraq has officially entered into a war on the ground, pointing out that some security leaders are linked to Iran and are violating human rights. "Iraq has become a storehouse for the Iranian weapon and the use of its territory to target neighboring countries," Qanbar said in a televised interview. "The government of Abdul Mahdi is weak and unable to stand up to Iranian interference." He added that "the law (preventing the destabilization of Iraq) is part of the US campaign to weaken Iran," pointing out that "there are strict US sanctions on the way to Iraq."[/size]
