    Economy News _ Baghdad
Russian oil giant Rosneft said on Tuesday that Transneft, which operates oil pipelines in Russia, has not provided a solution to the tainted oil crisis, which reduced the country's crude exports, more than four months after it broke out.
In mid-April, the Russian Drogba pipeline, which pumps 1 million barrels of crude per day to western and eastern Europe, was found to be contaminated with organic chlorides.
Russia cleared the pipeline and resumed supplies two months later, and state oil monopoly Transneft has pledged to compensate energy companies for losses from pollution.
In a rare comment, Rosneft, whose oil production and profits were hurt by Transneft's restrictions on the amount it transfers during the crisis, said the pipeline company had not yet solved the problem.
"The fate of the polluted oil is not yet clear and the claims of the companies and their trading partners have not been resolved, and the issue of ensuring the quality of oil during transportation has not yet been resolved."
“Risks to Russia's image as a reliable resource… are increasing.”
Rosneft said a number of oil importers, including Poland and some Mediterranean ports, were considering other options for importing crude.
