    Jordan announced, on Monday, an increase in its industrial exports to Iraq during the first third of the current year 2024.
    A report issued by the Jordanian Amman Chamber of Industry, seen by Al-Iqtisad News, showed that “the chamber’s exports during the first third amounted to 2.279 billion Jordanian dinars, compared to 2.225 billion dinars for the same period last year 2023.”
    It is noteworthy that every 70 Jordanian dinars is equivalent to 100 US dollars.
    India, the United States of America, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq accounted for most of the exports during the first third of this year, recording a value of 1.532 billion dinars.
    The report added that “the Chamber’s exports to the United States of America increased during the first third of the current year, by 100 percent, reaching about 723 million dinars, compared to 360 million dinars for the same period last year, making it at the forefront of the Arab and foreign countries that receive the most exports from Oman’s industry.” .
    The Chamber’s exports to Iraq also increased by 24 percent during the first third of this year, recording a value of 291 million dinars, compared to 234 million dinars during the same period last year, 2023.
    The chamber explained that "its exports were distributed among the chemical and cosmetics industries, with a value of 561 million dinars, mining, with a value of about 307 million dinars, and engineering, electrical, and information technology sectors, with a value of 251 million dinars."
    According to statistical data, exports of the catering, food, agricultural and livestock sectors amounted to 254 million dinars, therapeutic and medical supplies amounted to 210 million dinars, and leather and textiles amounted to 152 million dinars.
