Integrity discloses its procedures regarding violations of 33 kv contract in Karbala

The Investigation Department of the Commission on Integrity, on Sunday, on the measures taken on the subject of irregularities on the implementation of the contract for the feeders 33 kv concluded with a general contracting companies in the province of Karbala.
A statement of the Commission received / information / copy, that “the Department confirmed the referral of the matter as a communication to the Bureau of Investigation of Karbala, which in turn recorded him as a news and presented to the competent investigating judge, and was registered as a criminal case, explaining that the investigative judge decided on 18/6/2019 Bringing the director of Karbala Electricity Distribution Branch and a number of engineers in accordance with the provisions of Article (340) of the Penal Code and decided to release them on bail after duly recording their statements, indicating that the case is now in its final stages.
The statement added, "The procedures of the department taken in this case came after the decision of the provincial council to instruct the governor to form an investigative committee dated (7/3/2017) from the electricity department in the projects department regarding the said project, pointing out that the administrative investigation conducted by the presidency of the Council Karbala, Governorate, and the Office of the Public Prosecutor recommended the director of the governorate of electricity distribution and a number of engineers to support the receipt of the project final receipt and disbursement of the total contract amount of (4,409,377,000) dinars, as well as liquidation of the contractor accounts, although the project is not workable until now, Than He has not benefited from it. ”
The statement pointed out that "the Media Center for Integrity monitored a statement by a member of the Council of Karbala province published in an electronic news site in which he talked about the cessation of an electrical project in the province; because of referring his files to the Commission on Integrity for investigation, according to his claim."
