    A member of the Iraqi Economic Council Baqer Mashat, that the Iraqi - Chinese forum scheduled to be held in Baghdad will translate the normalization of trade between the two countries.
    "Baghdad will host an Iraqi-Chinese forum among 40 major Chinese companies sponsored by the Chinese embassy in Baghdad as well as Iraqi companies to follow up on projects," Al-Mashat said in a press release. He stressed that "this new orientation will reflect the results of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi's recent visit to China and translates the normalization of trade between Baghdad and Beijing."
    Al-Mashat pointed out that "the assurances of Abdul-Mahdi's recent visit is to employ Iraqi workers of engineers, workers, administrators and others besides Chinese workers in Iraq, which will provide hundreds of thousands of jobs."
    The Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi and a high-level delegation visited the People's Republic of China last month to get acquainted with economic and trade development and the signing of dozens of bilateral agreements as well as to study how Iraq's role in the Silk Road.
