The head of the Kurdistan Regional Government Masroor Barzani, on Wednesday, to submit proposals to Baghdad to resolve differences and respond to the constitutional demands of the region positively.
A statement issued by Barzani's office, in a statement received (Mawazine News), that "the latter received in his office, today, British Ambassador to Iraq John Wilkes on the occasion of the end of his duties as the UK ambassador to Iraq."
He added, "The meeting, which was attended by British Consul General in the Kurdistan region James Thornton, discussed the latest developments in the situation on the Iraqi arena and the region in general."
The British ambassador praised the efforts of the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government: "We are confident that you are leading the Kurdistan region forward."

The two sides agreed during the meeting, "the importance of the international community to shoulder its responsibility to help the Kurdistan region in this area."
For his part, thanked the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government British Ambassador, and wished him "success in any new responsibility assumed," pointing out that "reviewed the progress of talks with the federal government."
He pointed out that "we have made many proposals to resolve the differences, and we expect Baghdad to respond positively to the constitutional demands of the Kurdistan region."
The meeting dealt with "the Syrian file, and the views coincided with the need to calm the situation in the region and the rejection of demographic change because it will contribute to the aggravation of problems and aggravate the situation in the future."
