, a high-ranking official in the caretaker government revealed, on Sunday, that the Kurdistan Region did not hand over any federal revenues to the six outlets of the region, pointing to 60% wasting corruption in other ports.
The official said, "Baghdad has not received any returns from the six international Kurdistan regional outlets with Iran, Turkey and the airports of Erbil and Sulaymaniyah, contrary to what was agreed upon."
He added, "The other ports suffer from the expansion of infection quotas, similar to state positions between parties."
The official pointed out that "the important crossings with high trade exchange are subject to political parties and influential figures."
He continued, "Ports like Al-Mundhiriyah in Diyala and Al-Shalamcheh in Basra and Al-Shaib in Maysan and Al-Qa’im in Al-Anbar, and other ports such as Ibrahim Al-Khalil, Haj Omran and Khor Al-Amiya Port in Basra, for example, are practically subject to the principle of quotas and more than 60% of their money and revenues are wasted by corruption and do not reach the state treasury.
