(Baghdad: Al Furat News) Iraq and Saudi Arabia will open today, Friday, the Arar border crossing between the two countries.
The Border Ports Authority announced last Thursday the opening date for the Arar outlet with Saudi Arabia.
"Through the grant of Saudi Arabia, which amounts to $ 50 million, the Ports Authority has been able to build the typical Arar outlet," said director of ports, Kazem Al-Oqabi, in a previous press statement.
Al-Oqabi added that "the plan developed by the authority to develop it includes declaring some border outlets as investment opportunities as well as approving grants and aid from international organizations."
