    {Baghdad: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Oil announced that the refining capacity of local refineries has risen to about 800 thousand barrels per day, while the rehabilitation of oil installations in the liberated areas has been completed.
    The undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil for Refineries, Hamid Yunus al-Zobaie, said in a press statement that all the refineries spread throughout the country are currently operating at full operational capacity, and that the production operations of the three companies are stable in all of the products.
    He stressed that the combined refining capacity of these refineries amounts to 800 thousand barrels per day, which contributes to providing 15 million liters per day of gasoline and 20 million of gasoline first, in addition to seven million liters of white oil and quantities of black oil amounting to 50 thousand meters as a supply Cube daily, in addition to other products such as oils, asphalt and others.
    Al-Zobaie expected the refining capacity to increase to more than one million barrels per day of refineries in the event that the Al-Samoud refineries are fully inserted and the Karbala refinery, which contributes to increasing the production of the derivatives.
    He added that the amount of derivatives produced in refineries meets the local need, except for the gasoline and gasoline materials, as the ministry imports approximately 10 million liters of gasoline, in addition to about 5 million liters of kerosene, to meet the need of the Ministry of Electricity.
    And Al-Zobaie said that the Ministry is continuing to rehabilitate the refining units in addition to the completion of the development work, and there are plans to add new production units in refineries and other to improve the types of products, such as adding the isomerization units in the Dura and Al-Shua’id refineries in addition to the assistant project, in addition to the assistant project, in addition to the assistant project, in addition to the assistant project in addition to the draft To the units of improving gasoline, which contributes to significantly increasing the state's resources.
    He explained that what is being built now refineries and rehabilitation are funded by the ministry directly, adding that the ministry put forward five refineries to invest a Nasiriyah refinery investment of 150 thousand barrels per day refinery in Maysan , 150 thousand barrels per day, which was referred to a company before The Ministry is withdrawing work from it due to its delay, and it is scheduled to re-assign it again. 
    The project also included the launch of an FAO refinery with an estimated capacity of 300 thousand barrels per day, which is in the process of receiving offers by companies, in addition to the Basra refinery with a capacity of 150 thousand barrels and the Kirkuk refinery with a capacity of 70 thousand barrels per day.
    Al-Zobaie revealed that the technical and engineering staff in the ministry in coordination with the related companies managed to rehabilitate all the refineries in the liberated areas that were subjected to sabotage by the terrorist group, including the Chinese refinery with a capacity of 30 thousand barrels per day and a 15 thousand barrels per day capacity. In addition to a modern refinery with a capacity of 16,000 barrels, noting that these refineries contribute to providing part of the need of these areas of oil products. "
