, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad al-Halbousi, proposed Thursday that the session of giving confidence to the government of Muhammad Allawi be postponed to next Saturday.
Parliamentary sources told Mawazine News that "Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi proposed today that the political blocs postpone the session of granting confidence to the government of Muhammad Allawi until next Saturday."
The Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, held today, Thursday, a meeting with the political blocs to discuss the government formation.
Parliamentary sources said, earlier, to / Mawazine News, that "a meeting was held today, inside the parliament building between Al-Kaabi and Allawi, in the presence of some political blocs."
The sources added, "The meeting will discuss voting on the new cab during the special session scheduled for today."
The media office of Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hassan Al-Kaabi said, in a brief statement, earlier today, that the latter "received in the parliament building, Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi."
