Al-Ittihad: We did not provide names for the cabinet, and we will accept independent Kurdish figures in the new government

The leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Ghiath Al-Surji, confirmed on Monday that the Kurds did not provide specific names for the cabinet, pointing out that the Kurds would agree to independent Kurdish figures in the new [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] , provided that they are nominated in consultation with the Kurdish parties.
Al-Surji said in a statement to “Al-Maalouma”, “The Kurdish parties did not talk about obtaining certain ministries in the new government, despite the Kurds’ obtaining 3 ministries in the government of Abdul-Mahdi (finance, housing, and justice), and it is expected that 3 ministries will remain for them. ” .
He added that "the Kurdish demands have not changed regarding participation in the ministerial cabinet, as the parties will not require the provision of personalities before them to certain ministries, but rather that they seek to represent them in the government through Kurdish personalities, even if they are independent."
And he stated that "the Kurds did not present candidates for the cabinet, as they seek to bring in independent candidates, provided that this is done in consultation with them, as it is not possible to bring in figures that are not known to the Kurdish parties and people." 25 n ended
