Information / Baghdad .. The
deputy of the Al-Fateh Alliance Fadel Jaber confirmed, on Thursday, that naming the ministers for vacant ministerial portfolios will take weeks due to the continuing differences between the blocs as well as the dispute within the same bloc, likely naming the oil and foreign ministers next week or until after the Eid al-Fitr holiday as a maximum.
Jaber said in a statement to the "information", that "the meeting of political blocs with Parliament Speaker and Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi before the voting session is held less than half an hour to resolve the postponement of the differences on the foreign and oil ministries between the Shiite forces and the Kurds", likely "naming the oil and foreign ministers next week or Until after the blessed Eid Al-Fitr holiday.
He added, "Not to vote on the five ministries is not because of their ineligibility to take over the bags, but it was also by political agreement to rotate the ministries exclusively among the Sunni forces," noting that "naming these ministries will take weeks."
The House of Representatives voted, at dawn today, Thursday, 15 ministers in the government of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, while refusing to pass four others and delaying the vote on two ministers.
Parliament refused to pass Nawar Nassif Jassem as Minister of Trade, Nasir Hussain Bandar Hamad as Minister of Transport, Hisham Saleh Dawood as Minister of Culture and Ismail Abdel-Redha as Minister of Agriculture and Hikmat Hikmat Nasser as Minister of Immigration and Displacement, in order to vote on the foreign and oil ministers.
