    The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces,

    Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the Prime Minister, Mr. Mustafa Al-Kazemi, issues a decision to dismiss the police chief in Dhi Qar governorate and form a committee to investigate today’s events that took place in the governorate, announce a curfew there, and cancel permits to carry weapons, to prevent further repercussions That harm civil peace in Iraq.

    The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces emphasized that the tension in the situation in Iraq is not in the interest of the country and that there is no substitute for law, order and justice, including justice towards the bloodshed in today’s events.

    The Iraqi government has abided by its pledges and set a date for the elections so that the ballot box is the only decisive factor for determining the positions, and that the alternative to this box is chaos that is not accepted by religion, principle, or national outlook.

    The Commander-in-Chief calls upon all citizens to abide by the government’s instructions to preserve the pure Iraqi blood and to block the way for those who want this country and its evil people. May God protect Iraq and its people.

    Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, removed the chief of Dhi Qar police, Brigadier General Hazem Muhammad Al-Waeli, from his post, due to the events of Al-Haboubi Square in the city of Nasiriya.

    A security source said, “Al-Kazemi agreed to appoint a new commander for Dhi Qar police.”

    And stated, “The new leader is Major General Odeh Al-Jabri, from the people of Basra Governorate.”

    The source pointed out, “The police issue an order to ban curfews in the city of Nasiriyah.”

    A medical source reported that the toll of the Nasiriyah clashes had risen to 3 martyrs and more than 50 injured, in addition to burning tents for the demonstrators in Al-Haboubi Square.
