On Wednesday, the US embassy in Baghdad expressed its continuing support for the recovery of Yazidis and other religious minorities in Iraq who have been persecuted under ISIS, noting the adoption of the Yazidi Survivors Law.
[size=15]The embassy stated in a Facebook post by NRT Arabia, (March 3, 2021), that we are " proud to continue to support the recovery of Yazidis and other religious and ethnic minorities in Iraq who have been persecuted under ISIS, and we applaud the adoption of the Yazidi Women Survivors Law."[/size]
[size=15]US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said, "We welcome Iraq's approval of the Yazidi Survivors Act, which recognizes the ISIS genocide against the Yazidis," noting that it "seeks to meet the needs of survivors of unspeakable atrocities."[/size]
[size=15]"We continue to support the government of Iraq in our fight to prevent the resurgence of ISIS," Blinken added .[/size]
