BAGHDAD - Mawazine News
Parliamentary sources revealed on Sunday, the date of adoption of the Federal Supreme Court law and highlighted the points of disagreement around it.
The sources said that "the draft law of the Federal Court will be submitted for the vote during the next October, after being interrupted for years, because of sharp differences between the various Iraqi political forces on the items."
"The court will be in accordance with the new draft law, which is the final body in the various problems and differences within the country, including the Kurdistan region, in addition to the constitutional powers beyond the powers of the prime ministers and the Republic, and decisions are binding for all."
The sources added that "
"The power parties differ in their name, the way they choose from the Sunni and Shiite positions, in addition to observations regarding the mechanism of selection of members and the president of the court, while highlighting the Committee's fear of independence in the Federal Court due to the domination of the parties, leading to great chaos and disrespect for the law. And the judiciary, which makes the passing of the law in its current form is not settled "
