    ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) - The Presidency of the Iraqi Council of Representatives and leaders of political forces, including Kurdistan, will hold a session devoted to passing the Federal Budget Law for 2021.
    After months of negotiations between the regional government and the federal government, the dispute over the Kurdistan Region’s share of the budget is still ongoing.
    The head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party bloc in the Iraqi parliament, Vian Sabri, told Kurdistan 24 that the Kurdish blocs confirm their support for Article (11) of the draft budget.
    And she added, "Article 11 is the result of prolonged and continuous negotiations between the regional government and Baghdad, and it represents the viewpoint of both sides."
    Vian Sabri confirmed that the alternative text contradicts the interests of the people of Kurdistan, stressing that it is rejected by the Kurdish side.

    The House of Representatives holds a session devoted to voting on the general federal budget bill.
    Parliament set its session, which is scheduled to be held during the next few hours, to pass the budget law after months of negotiations and disagreements over the Kurdistan region’s share of the budget.
    Informed parliamentary sources confirm the existence of convergence and agreement regarding the share of the Kurdistan region in the budget, and it is likely that the vote on the budget will take place after obtaining a political consensus between the blocs.
